Sompo Indonesia Establishes “Sompo Syariah”

Dedicated entity to offer more focused services, innovative products, and assurance that all operations are conducted in accordance with syariah principles

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Oct. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sompo Indonesia today announced the official commencement of operations for PT Sompo Insurance Sharia (“Sompo Syariah”), a new general syariah insurance company established in full compliance with Financial Services Authority (“OJK”) regulations. The launch underscores Sompo Indonesia’s commitment to supporting the growth of Indonesia’s syariah financial industry while upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Sompo Indonesia has been providing syariah-based asset protection services since 2017, offering insurance solutions tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses while adhering to syariah principles.
